We made it, Wisconsin. The snow is melting, the temps are rising, and I’m finally not layering up like I’m headed to the Arctic just to grab a coffee. And you know what that means? Crown Roofing is back in action with full roof installs!

Josh standing on a roof during the springtime in Wisconsin.

Let me be clear—I haven’t spent the winter sunbathing in the Caribbean. You can tell by my fluorescent white complexion that I’ve been right here in Wisconsin, just like you. 😂

Instead of chasing sunshine, I’ve been busy doing the kind of work that doesn’t require 45+ degree temps to do right—like repairs, insulation upgrades, and the occasional emergency tarp job to keep homes dry until the weather warmed up. Because when it comes to full roof installs, cold-weather shortcuts just aren’t worth it.

Why I Waited:

Here’s the deal: when shingles are installed in cold temperatures, the tar strip underneath doesn’t seal properly. That bond is essential to keeping your roof watertight and your shingles from flapping in the wind like a backyard flag. If installed in cold temps, shingles can fail to seal—leading to premature wear, blow-offs, leaks, and yes, even voided warranties from the manufacturer. No thank you.

As the owner and the guy swinging the hammer, I’m not willing to risk your investment—or my reputation—just to stay busy in the off-season. I want every customer to know that if I’m putting shingles on your home, they’re going on right and with the warranty fully intact.

So, What Now?

✅ Warmer weather? Check.

✅ Solid installs that meet manufacturer guidelines? Absolutely.

✅ Bookings now open? You bet!

Whether your roof needs a full replacement, a spring check-up, or you’re just starting to budget and plan—I’m here to help with honest answers and zero pressure.

Thanks again to every homeowner who was patient while the weather played games with the calendar. We’re back, and ready to climb. If you see a guy with a blinding farmer's tan on your roof—it’s probably me. 👋

Let’s get your roof project done the right way, so you don’t have to think about it again for decades.
